For the last couple of weeks we have been in our kitchen working on a new line of cookie mixes. When we first came up with this idea we did not think of all of the different factors that can change the outcome of a cookie. The oven temperatures vary and the fact that someone might over cream the butter and sugar. We had to make sure that the directions were exact and for me this was a bit of a challenge. I’m not used to using timers or looking at directions, but I bake every single day.
So after weeks of testing the recipes ourselfs we thought it would be a good idea to give samples to some of our friends. We picked three of our neighbors some with alot of cooking experience and some with little experience. It was great to see that the cookies came out perfect for all of them and they really liked the fact that it was simple. Now it’s back to the kitchen to put mixes together and send out samples.
Today was the first day of school for many kids in NC but the kids in my neighborhood were in for an after school treat…We have been working on developing a new line of cookie mixes and who better to taste test them than kids. I met them at there bus stop this afternoon with a box of Rockie Road Cookies…They absolutely loved them!!
